Freaking almost forgot about this ad. Thanks, tumblr.
The Bright Situation. Whoop de doo this week’s Style Radar column is up!
I’m supposed to write something here about the irony of my rocking ghetto-fab nails and making them super high fashion. Just a day in the life, I suppose. (Got them done by this really great freelance nail artist/DIY friendship bracelet maker/music blogger BTW)
Divine, Divine. The things I do for work sometimes… (i.e. spending 30 minutes trying to snap a photo of myself that perfectly portrays the pink-y/purple-y hues of this lip shade).
Style Radar: E-Shops Around the World. So I literally almost passed out upon my epiphany that this really cool store I visited in Singapore, The Editor’s Market, sold online. I mean, everything was really awesome (REALLY.) and it had a steep pricing system, meaning the more you buy the less each item costs (!!). They also encourage you to share virtual baskets with friends to score the best deals (!!!!!!). Get obsessed people. I am. It already spawned this round up of the greatest international e-shops, ever.
Happy 4th of July! In celebration, read up on these four cool “Made in America” fashion labels I found (from a luxe jeweler in Kentucky to an indie designer in Illinois).
Resort 2013 Inspo: Stay Cool With Oscar De La Renta’s Summer Suiting. Staying stylish throughout the summer months can become difficult when it’s sweltering. I’m calling the solution: Summer Suiting. (Read More)
Mojito Madness. Left: My mani with Essie’s “Mojiti Madness” polish. Right: Our own Mojito Madness recipe.
Resort 2013 Inspiration: Rachel Roy Does Modern Day Mod. It seems as if the New Mrs. Draper effect has made its way to the fashion industry. And by that I am referring to the latest style star (and wife) of AMC’s Mad Men, Megan Draper. And let’s be thankful it was Rachel Roy – someone who knows a thing or two about feminine dressing. (Read More)
Y Ahora Estoy Aquí. I swear to God the only thing a decade’s worth of Spanish classes left me with was the thorough ability to sing Shakria songs from start to finish. #YOLO Estoy Aquí, Shakira.
Chanel Resort 2013 Inspo: Chanel Brings Victorian Style to the Street. I’m kind of loving this concept. Bravo, Karl.
Design Thinking. Thank you WSJ for finally explaining this concept to the masses. I feel like my gazillion dollar education is slightly more justified now - maybe by like, a 1% increase.
